Although there are many benefits to overall health and well-being, yoga can be physically challenging and carries with it risks that cannot entirely be eliminated. These include the risk of personal injury, or exacerbation of existing injuries or conditions.

  • You must always act responsibly and sensibly.

  • You must not participate if you are under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs.

  • You must obtain professional or specialist advice from your doctor before participating if you are in any doubt.

  • Let the teacher know beforehand, if this is your first-time practising yoga, or you are not confident about your experience and/or ability.

  • Follow your teachers, safety instructions and listen to your body. We are movement or classes beyond your experience ability, are you experience any physical or emotional discomfort, please don’t continue.

  • You participate in yoga classes entirely at your own risk, and by accessing and participating in classes, you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer.

Class Etiquette

  • Please arrive on time and ready to practice for your own benefit and out of respect for other students.

  • Advise the teacher prior to the class starting, have any injury or condition that might affect your practice. Those new two classes will be asked to complete a liability waiver form.

  • Please remove shoes before entering the yoga studio.

  • Turn off your phone before the start of the class.

  • No food to be brought into the studio.

  • Classes are booked in blocks of 6.  To reserve your place, full payment of £60 is required.

  • When you sign up and pay for a block of classes, you are securing your mat space on that specific class each week for the duration of the block. No refunds are offered if you miss a class. You can’t ‘carry over’ missed classes to the next block. If there’s space in another class for you to attend as a ‘catch up’ during the same block, you are welcome to do so… But this must be pre-booked.

  • In this instance, spaces aren’t guaranteed, but I will do my upmost to accommodate it.  This option is only available if I receive at least 24 hours’ notice of your cancelled class. Classes cancelled within 24 hours of the start time will be charged, and no ‘catch up’ option offered. If you can’t attend a class, please let me know ASAP in case someone is on the waiting list.

  • Students can also ‘drop-in’ to classes. The ‘drop-in’ price is currently £12.00, but they must be pre-booked. Places are not guaranteed.

  • There is no refund or free class pass for any booking cancelled within 24 hours of the start of that class.

  • To reserve your place, full payment is required prior to the workshop.

  • In the event of client cancellation, a full refund will be issued up to one week before the workshop date.

  • There will be no refund available if client cancellation takes place less than a week before the workshop date.

  • In the event of a YOGA SAPIEN cancellation, a full refund will be issued.

  • To book a 1:1 full payment is required. No refunds are available.

Yoga Sapien reserves, the right to cancel any event, workshop, retreat, private booking, or yoga class, at any time, and without prior notice. Yoga Sapien will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible before any cancellation - this may be due to extreme weather, technical issues, or any other unforeseen event. In the unlikely event of a cancellation by Yoga Sapien, a full refund will be offered, or an alternative booking of the same value, and subject to availability.

  • If a participant cancels a booking less than 8 calendar weeks before an event, but more than 7 days in advance, Yoga Sapien will endeavour to fill that place.

  • If Yoga Sapien can fill the cancelled place, then Yoga Sapien will either:

(a) refund the advertised cost of the event less the non-refundable deposit…OR

Cancellation (less than 7 days’ notice)

  • If a participant cancels a booking less than 7 days before an event, no refund or transfer can be made.

  • A reasonable level of fitness is expected.  Our Yoga & Walking retreats are aimed at those who are active and fit, preferably with some walking/hiking experience.

  • Typically for a weekend, we will be walking on mixed terrain for around 4-5hrs on the Saturday, and 2-3hrs on the Sunday (depending on the length of the retreat) and there will be 1-2 yoga classes per day throughout the weekend.

  • By booking onto a Yoga Sapien event, you accept responsibility for ensuring you are fit enough to participate in these activities.

  • We will generally keep a reasonable pace for the walks, but if you are unable to keep up, then we reserve the right to ask you to return to the start or suggest alternative activities and no refund will be offered.

For all retreats, we recommend you take out travel insurance as soon as you book.  This should cover you for any cancellation, illness or any other circumstances that may prevent you from attending the retreat, as well as any flight/train delays, lost luggage and any other additional travel expenses incurred.

Yoga Sapien cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage to, or theft, of personal belongings, or for any illness, injury or accident which may occur during an event or guided walk unless proven to be caused by negligence on the part of Yoga Sapien.  Clients should take all normal, sensible precautions and always exercise an appropriate degree of care. It is recommended that clients carry insurance for personal optical or electronic equipment, and this is often covered by household insurance so please check with your provider.

Yoga Sapien holds full public liability insurance, and we hold full professional insurance for the activities that we offer.

I am a big fan of clarity and transparency. When you join me for a treatment, there is a commitment we both make to each other. This page aims to address any doubts that you might have and the terms under which I operate. We are undertaking any work together under the following agreement:

  • Bookings are made through the ‘Booking Hawk’ platform here:

  • Treatments begin at the time of the scheduled appointment; the initial session may be slightly longer to allow space to discuss the health questionnaire for assessment.

Currently, 60-minute treatments are £50, and 90-minute treatments are £65.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking, and you will receive an email with a link to a health questionnaire for you to complete and return, at least 24 hours before your massage treatment.

If you decide that you need to cancel or amend an appointment, please email me at least 48 hours before to avoid the cancellation fee.
True emergency situations that cannot be foreseen can be negotiated (sudden illnesses, accidents, or unpredicted loss of childcare)

In the event of YOGA SAPIEN cancellation, a full refund will be issued.
