Protecting your personal details on my website.

Yoga Sapien takes the security and privacy of its customers very seriously, and in relation to the management of customer personal details, is fully committed to the new GDPR.

This policy explains how your personal data is collected, what the information may be used for, who will use it, and how it is stored and protected.  Some of the personal data collected may be sensitive. This is called ‘Special Category Data’ and is likely to be (but is not limited to) information about health, for example a medical condition, dietary needs or disability.

I collect names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses and details of enquiries about my services and bookings and will only use your personal data for the following purposes and shall not keep such personal data longer than is necessary to fulfil these purposes – or until deletion is requested.

 

  • Deliver my services

  • Manage my relationship with you

  • Develop new ways to meet clients’ needs

  • Improve my service delivery

  • Keep internal records

  • Send promotional emails about courses or other information

  • Use testimonials and photographs to promote Yoga Sapien

 

     2. SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Yoga Sapien does not share your personal information with any third parties, unless it is in conjunction with an event you are involved with, where there is co-delivery (i.e., retreats and workshops)

When I share your personal data with these third parties who perform services for me, I require them to take appropriate steps to protect your personal information, and only to use the personal information for the purpose of performing those specific services.

Yoga Sapien uses the booking platform, ‘Booking Hawk’ to process bookings and payments for Thai Yoga Massage clients.  Their Privacy Policy information can be found here:

I will never sell, rent or otherwise distribute or make public your personal information with any other third parties unless I have a legal obligation to do this.

If they are the data controller for the services that they are providing they will make their privacy notice available to you.

Your rights are unlikely to be affected if your information is used in this way.

     3. THE INTERNET

Please remember that communications over the Internet, such as emails and Web mails, are not secure, unless they have been encrypted. Your communications may go through a number of countries before they are delivered. This is the nature of the Internet. I cannot accept responsibility for any unauthorised access or loss of personal data that is beyond my control.

 

       4.  LINKS

The website may include third-party advertising and links to other websites. Yoga Sapien does not provide any personally identifiable customer personal data to these advertisers or third-party websites.

Please be aware that I have no control of and cannot be held responsible for how your personal data may be used if you follow these links.

Yoga Sapien excludes all liability for loss that you may incur when using these third-party websites.

     5. FURTHER INFORMARTION

If you are required to sign a consent form or you give consent, for example by requesting promotional information, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time by contacting me in writing at jacq@yogasapien.co.uk

 

If you wish to withdraw your consent for Yoga Sapien to use some or all of the information you have given me, this may mean that I cannot provide some or all of my services to you. If you think that you would like to withdraw consent at any time, please let me know and I will tell you of the impact that this will have, so that you can make an informed decision.

If you have given consent for photographs of you to be made public, you may withdraw your consent at any time before this happens.

If you disagree with using your personal data for one or more legitimate interests, please get in touch by email and I will consider whether I need to stop using it for that purpose.

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time without notice, in which case, the amended version will be published on the website.  Yoga Sapien shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any change to this privacy policy.  It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether this privacy policy has changed.

Please be aware that some systems on my website require the use of cookies, but this will always be stated if this is the case.
